Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties in your relationships or are feeling isolated, empty and unable to move forward. You are not alone in having these feelings: the good news is that they are signals of the changes you need to make. Counselling can allow you to gain inner clarity and strength, as well as find solutions and live a more meaningful life.
As your counsellor I will support you to find a deeper understanding of yourself, bringing into the open the stumbling blocks that hold you back. Counselling is not about telling you what to do, I believe that each person holds within themselves the answer to their problems. My role is to provide a safe and confidential space where all thoughts, judgments and fears can be aired, supporting you in exploring your beliefs, behavioural and relational patterns and offering tools that can enable you to bring about lasting change.
Collaboratively we will work in a variety of ways depending on your needs, simply listening and talking, allowing you to be fully seen, heard and accepted. Techniques may include guided imagery, drawing, dream work, brain-spotting, gestalt or working with family systems. These are just some of the tools which we can use to expand your awareness of yourself and the world around you so that you can make a positive change in your life.
How you feel in your counselling sessions is key to successful therapy. It is important for you to find someone you feel comfortable with in order to build a trusting relationship. You are welcome to book an assessment session where we can get to know each other a bit before committing to working together.
